How to get to Azkorri beach.
If you are looking for how to get to Azkorri beach, we advise you to read this section carefully. And you should know that we have the option to do it both by public and private transport. Which one do you choose?
- Public transportationIf you opt for public transport you have 2 options: bus and subway. The first leaves us about 220 meters from the beach parking (Bizkaibus line A3411), while the subway (Berango station) leaves us about 2 kilometers away.
- Private transportIf you want to get to Azkorri beach in your own vehicle, we recommend using the BI-637 road to get to the town of Berango, from where we will head to Andra Mari (Getxo). From here we will use the Zientoetxe road to get to Azkorri.
Flysch of Bizkaia.
Between the towns of Getxo and Bakio we find one of the most incredible areas of the Basque coast, the flysch of Bizkaia. Azkorri parking lot.
Although there are several parking lots in Azkorri, the closest to the beach is located just above the cliffs that protect it. An ideal parking to leave our vehicles for free. Unfortunately, on hot summer days, all the parking spaces are usually sold out before 10 am. For this reason we recommend that you get up early to be able to park without any problem. From this parking there are 2 routes that take us to enjoy the Basque coast towards Getxo and Sopela. It can be a good route to do before or after the guided visit to the beach of Azkorri. 
Surfing in Azkorri.
As we have already mentioned, Azkorri beach has several waves that attract thousands of surfers to this stretch of the Basque coast.
