This parking lot does not have specific spaces for motorhomes. In fact, its more than 100 spaces have the standard measures that can be found in any municipal parking lot. As we have already mentioned, this parking lot does not have all the services that we usually find in a motorhome area. It only has the minimum services: water supply, gray water discharge and sewage discharge. As you can see, we miss some other connection point to the electricity network, exclusive spaces for motorhomes or garbage containers. Remember that if these services are essential for you, the motorhome area of Sopela (2 minutes away) has all of them. On the other hand, it should be noted that the water connection is not standard, which makes it very difficult to attach the hose.
Location.
The motorhome area of Berango is located on the muga (border in Basque) with the neighboring town of Sopela. Within 15 minutes walking distance there are 4 restaurants, 4 supermarkets, 7 bars and a gas station. There is also a subway stop and a bus stop less than 10 minutes away. A strategic location, which in addition to offering a wide variety of services also offers good communication thanks to public transport. This makes this motorhome parking a great option to enjoy Bilbao and the Basque coast in a comfortable and practical way.
Public transportation.
The proximity of the motorhome area of Berango with the Bilbao subway and the Bizkaibus stop, allows us to know much of the province of Bizkaia without having to start our motorhome / van. Remember that we can also reach Sopela and Getxo on foot or by bike thanks to the different bidegorris that connect the town.

The motorhome area of Berango has 4 supermarkets within a radius of less than 10 minutes walking. Currently, there are Eroski, Supeco, Mercadona and Lidl supermarkets. As we have already mentioned, there are 4 restaurants within a radius of less than 15 minutes. And the best of all is that they offer totally different proposals. We leave you a small summary of all of them. Remember that if you move within a radius of 30 minutes there are other very interesting options.
- Bentatxu JatetxeaUndoubtedly, the best option we found near the motorhome area of Berango. Homemade food, typical food of Euskadi. Good, nice and cheap menu of the day during practically the whole year.
- GaraiThe cafeteria and restaurant of the Eroski of Berango. Another great option to eat a menu of the day without having to travel far. In this case, it is a somewhat more modern offer than the Bentatxu restaurant.
- Cervecera El MolinoIf you are looking for the typical brewery menu (salad, croquettes, peppers, chorizo, black pudding, chicken, potatoes…) this place is a great option. You can even choose to eat a good steak. As a counterpoint, we must point out that it is always full and we must wait a long time to eat.
- Burger KingIn this case, we understand that any explanation is superfluous. Fast food. Starters, hamburgers and ice cream at low prices. To eat on site, pick up or delivery.
How to get there.
The motorhome area of Berango is located at one end of the town, near the access to the highway. To get there, we must use the BI-637 road and take the exit Hondartzak / beaches, Sopela Hegoaldea / south, Berango Iparraldea / north. After which we will return to take the detour to Berango on the right. Remember that the quickest and easiest access to this parking lot is represented by the BI-637 road, undoubtedly one of the most important roads in Greater Bilbao. A road that connects the capital of Bizkaia with the right bank of the Bilbao estuary.
