Artxanda viewpoint walk.
The BI-3741 road, the road that runs through Artxanda from end to end, has been filled with life. And is that the viewpoint walk runs along this road for much of the route. A perfect family route to observe Bilbao from the heights.

Although the route has 6 kilometers, most people do not get to complete it. And is that when using the funicular to reach Artxanda, the wooden walkway that connects the promenade with Enekuri is out of play. Also the section that joins Artxanda with Santo Domingo.

We recommend that you descend from the funicular station to the Nogaro traffic circle (BI-3741 road), through the footprint park and the trenches of the iron belt. Once on the road, the best option is to walk along the promenade towards Enekuri, on the right hand side while watching Bilbao.

Of course, we encourage you to take a break and enjoy Pikotamendi. One of the most special areas of Bilbao. And is that once in the parking lot of Mount Pikotamendi, the road splits offering us the opportunity to leave the road to take us to the viewpoint of Aixerrota.

The route continues until you reach Deusto, although, as we have mentioned, when using the funicular, it does not make much sense. In any case, you should know that this route can be done going up and down directly from the center of Bilbao. Of course, as is logical, the length and duration increase.
