We must remember that the guided tour that we recommend today takes place 155 meters from the necropolis of Argiñeta, one of the most emblematic attractions of the town.

The guided tour of Belaze takes place around the Zenitaldekoa farmhouse and its surroundings. A luxurious setting, which helps us to enjoy this experience even more. From Belaze, they wanted to modernize this historic trade by imprinting their way of thinking on it. This is how these young people produce organic and sustainable food while respecting nature and its diversity. A new generation takes over.Itziar will guide us through the different spaces with the help of a set of stones, which painted with clues, give us an approximate idea of the next space we will visit. This experience includes a guided tour of the facilities, a small Fukuoka workshop and a tasting of the yogurt made on the farm itself. A 2-hour activity (approximately), which has been designed for children and adults to learn, have fun and enjoy nature. A very enjoyable way to learn about the past, present and future of the Basque farmhouses. During this experience they will show us their daily life, their work among animals and plants.They will also explain the innovative concepts that they implement in their farms. Do you know the Fukuoka method? The idea of producing under the concept of natural agriculture was what led the Japanese Masanobu Fukuoka to introduce some nuances to the traditional agriculture that he had inherited from his ancestors. In this case, we will elaborate the famous “Nendo Dango” clay balls. Did you know that these clay balls protect the seeds from animals and the weather until the first rains melt the clay and let the seeds follow their course of life? Interesting, isn’t it? Cows are the protagonists of Belaze. And not only because of their beauty and nobility, but also because they are the architects of the milk used to make their famous yogurts. During the guided tour, they will explain the reasons why they decided to work with this breed, its pros and cons. We will also have the opportunity to see their milking. A very special moment for the little ones of the house. As a curiosity, we must say that this farm does not have a shed where the cows come to be milked, in this case, they use a portable milking machine that moves to the cows themselves.The hens are common in all baserri (farmhouse). For this reason, Belaze gives us the opportunity to feed them, to interact with them (with respect). The visit to Belaze ends with a delicious yogurt tasting. We also have the opportunity to visit the small store where we are given the opportunity to buy some of their products (eggs, sausage, hamburgers, yogurt, cheese, vegetables…) and those of other local producers. The yogurt, made with natural milk from their own cows is really good, we hope you like it.After the guided visit to Belaze we encourage you to know the Zenita neighborhood of Elorrio, its farmhouses, forests, fields and animals create a magical picture. A place worth visiting. We went for a walk so that the children could see the sheep, donkeys and horses that we found in the different fields of this neighborhood.
