We went to Hotel Gran Bilbao because of the good customer service and we left in love with its facilities and its quality policy.

Rooms: Spacious, modern, simple and bright are 4 words that perfectly describe what we find in this hotel. Wood predominates in the rooms, following the line that we find in all the spaces of the establishment.

The design and environment of the hotel means that all its rooms have open spaces to contemplate when looking through its windows, with no buildings to obstruct our views in a short space.

Close to the highway: Good or bad? The Hotel Gran Bilbao is located near the Miraflores bridge and the A8 highway, making this hotel establishment very easy and quick to access from the highway, without having to walk, thus minimizing the chances of getting lost on the way to our destination. But what about the noise? we had the opportunity to visit one of the rooms facing the highway, we were surprised, the noise was practically not noticeable. Undoubtedly this point helps more than hurts.

Miraflores neighborhood: The neighborhood in which the hotel is located is not one of the best in Bilbao but its proximity to the old town counteracts this aspect, and is that the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the city center. Of course, we must keep in mind that the hotel is located in one of the higher parts of Bilbao, going down to the city center is easy and fast, going up is somewhat more expensive.

One of the last neighborhoods of Bilbao, Miribilla, is only 1 minute away by car, a distance that makes Hotel Gran Bilbao the perfect venue for all those who come to Bilbao to enjoy an event held at the Bilbao Arena Sports Palace or at the Bizkaia Bilbao Fronton, one of the most important frontons in the Basque Country.

Public transport: In Bizkaia we have many public transports but the most important and practical to enjoy Bilbao, are undoubtedly the metro, streetcar and Bilbobus buses, all of them within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. To use the streetcar we must go down to the old town, about 9 minutes walk, the subway another 10 minutes walk (Basarrate stop) while the bus (Bilbobus line 77) has a stop at the door of the hotel, 2 steps from the entrance, literally. Conclusion, a hotel where it is possible to forget about private transport and opt for public transport.

Parking near the Hotel Gran Bilbao: The surroundings of the hotel are free of OTA, Traffic and Parking Ordinance that establishes the fee to pay for parking our vehicle, an advantage that unfortunately is difficult to take advantage of because of the few parking spaces we find in the area. This fact forces us to leave the vehicle in the hotel’s private parking lot, a high quality service for which we pay 14€ per night.

Attention: The hotel that concerns us today stands out in several aspects, but if we must highlight one of them, it is the attention. Although end users often do not give importance to this aspect, the Hotel Gran Bilbao does a great job in responding to all the concerns of its guests. Social networks, online platforms, telephone, email, in person … the medium is indifferent, Hotel Gran Bilbao responds.
