Our choice was simple. Villa Lucia’s Euskadi Gastronomika menu. A series of carefully selected dishes that faithfully represent the traditional cuisine of the Basque people. Its price, 58€ for two diners. 29 per person (drinks not included). This menu based on local products, the now called “kilometer 0” products, makes clear Villa Lucia’s commitment to local and quality products. A small nod to the roots of the gastronomy of the Basque Country. The special Euskadi Gastronomika menu is composed of loin head (farmhouse pork with arroniz EVOO), fried green peppers (with salt flakes from the salty valley of Añana), grilled Álava steer chop, salad of lettuce, tomato and onion, Álava fries and dessert to choose from. All this was enlivened with one of the many local wines offered by the restaurant’s staff. We must thank the facilities that they put at the time of serving one of the members of our crew, a celiac friend who found in Villa Lucia a place where they care about each of their diners.
