In order to explain the secrets of Urgain’s success and the reasons why we recommend it, we will divide the article into 5 categories: location, portions, quality, price and service.
Location: The restaurant Urgain, has an ideal location. Less than 5 minutes walk from the beach of Deba and located in the center of the small coastal town; the restaurant has a large park and a public parking right in front. As we say …. a situation to which little more can be asked for.
Rations: As we mentioned previously our choice was tasting menu number one. In many restaurants the portions served in this type of menus, is as its name indicates, to taste, but not to fill. This is not the case of the Urgain restaurant, after the starters and the main course of the tasting menu (the fish of the day), little else entered our stomachs. But we could not leave without tasting their homemade desserts ….
Quality: Most of the products consumed in the Urgain restaurant are local products, products of the well-known “geopark of the coast of Guipuzcoa”. The restaurant specializes in fish and seafood, two products obtained from the fishermen of the neighboring town of Mutriku. The fresh products together with the homemade elaboration of several of its starters and desserts create an explosive fusion of flavors and textures. What more can you ask for in terms of the quality of the dishes in a restaurant?
Price: The value for money we found in this restaurant was simply perfect. For 50€ (VAT included) per diner we tasted a menu of great quality and variety, we do not even want to think about what this restaurant can offer us in its tasting menu number three of 70€ (VAT included) …. next time we will find out!!!
