This Biscayan palace located in Gordexola, is one of those places that captivates at first sight, its buildings, among which is one of the most remarkable neoclassical palaces of the town, are partly to blame for it. Nature, another of the elements that give value to El Molinar Palace, brings that touch of color that every event needs, making this space one of the most demanded to celebrate weddings, communions and events of different kinds in the region of Enkarterri (Las Encartaciones in Spanish). Casa Palacio El Molinar: This neoclassical palace and its gardens offer a luxurious location for those who wish to enjoy a special day in a rural setting. The plot of Palacio El Molinar, located next to the Herrerías Ibalzibar river, offers 2,000 square meters where the gardens, the trees and the 2 stately buildings of 240 and 180 square meters are the protagonists. The construction of this palace was carried out in two stages, the first in 1663 and the second in 1700, a building, which does not differ much from the baserris we know today as in Gordexola hardly any changes were made on the residential housing.

Location: The Biscayan town of Gordexola is located in the valley of the same name, in the region of Enkarterri (Las Encartaciones in Spanish), the westernmost region of Biscay, an area of great scenic wealth which is barely 18 kilometers from the provincial capital, Bilbao. Gordexola, is historically known for hosting a large number of forges, mechanisms, which, driven by the force of the waters of the river Herrerias ibalzibar transformed the mineral into utensils necessary for the daily life of the people of Bizkaia.

Services: Although catering always gets the most attention, more and more services are being offered at weddings and major events. Designing, organizing and coordinating a large event is no easy task for those who are not used to it.

Capacity: Palacio El Molinar has large open-air outdoor spaces, which are very much appreciated on sunny spring and summer days. Unfortunately, we missed some more bathrooms in some of its buildings (it has 1 bathroom for women, 1 for men and 1 for people with reduced mobility), insufficient services in certain parts of the celebration.

Attention: The human staff of Palacio El Molinar attended to perfection to each of the guests, a fact that due to the large number of people and movement is not always possible. We must highlight the attention given by one of the waiters during the open bar, blessed patience!
