The restaurant Basuki of Bilbao, is located in the neighborhood of Abando, in the street Juan Ajuriaguerra. A corner of Bilbao, where we find some of the best restaurants in town. In terms of gastronomy, the Basuki restaurant does not disappoint. With a clear modern and casual profile, Basuki offers us very elaborate dishes, with a lot of flavor. Basuki offers 2 options, menu and menu. Basuki’s menu is divided into 5 large blocks: To nibble and share, paellas and pasta, fish, meats and desserts. As you will see in the following section, all the dishes we tasted belong to 2 of these groups. Anyway, you must take into account that on half days, from Tuesday to Thursday, Basuki offers us the option to enjoy a tasting menu at a price of 26€ (drink and bread not included). The day we went to the restaurant the menu consisted of:
- Tuna tartar with guacamole and papaya.
- Squid croquettes.
- Sea bass supreme with garnish
- Duck cannelloni with truffle juice.
- Torrija with ice cream.
Our experience in Basuki.
As we have already indicated, our experience at Basuki was a la carte. 4 courses in the form of starters, 1 main course and dessert. Very successful. These were the dishes we tasted during our stay:
- Octopus croquette with kimchi mayonnaise.
- Zamburiñas with coriander pesto and yuzu air.
- Glazed trotters gyozas.
- Low temperature egg, mushroom foam, edamame and foie.
- Low temperature bear claw (beef cutlet) with cabbage salad and potato parmentier.
- Our baked cheesecake with crème brûlée ice cream.
All the proposals we have indicated follow the same pattern, small dishes, careful presentation and a very elaborate texture and flavor. In this sense, we must say that, although we liked all the dishes we tasted, the bear paw, the low temperature beef chop, caught our attention.

Dining rooms.
The Basuki restaurant in Bilbao has a two-story layout, on two floors. The upper part, quieter, has sofas and a private dining room, while the lower part has a dozen tables next to the kitchen, where we can see how they prepare the dishes we are going to taste. A space with dim lighting and modern decoration, which offers us a very pleasant place to eat. On the first floor, next to the entrance, we also find a small bar dedicated to the elaboration of cocktails.

The Basuki Bilbao restaurant is located in Juan Ajuriaguerra street, in the Abando neighborhood, in an area where gastronomy is very important. And it is that in a radius of 10 minutes we find some of the most important gastronomic establishments of the villa. On the other hand, Basuki, is located about 5 minutes walk from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Iberdrola Tower, a strategic location to visit Bilbao in just 1 day.

The Bilbao Berria (new in Basque) group has 3 establishments in the capital of Bizkaia: Basuki, Bilbao Berria Ledesma and Bocoy. A group that boasts of creating innovative proposals based on the Basque-Mediterranean gastronomic culture. And we must remember that although most of its restaurants are located in Bilbao, this group was created by Iñaki Lasa and Rafa Viar in 1952 in Barcelona. In fact, the first restaurant they opened was in the Plaza de la Catedral in Barcelona in 1999.
Price.
In this section we must clearly differentiate the menu of the Basuki restaurant and its menu. The price of the tasting menu allows people who want to taste this type of menu to enjoy it without having to disburse large amounts.
