The park, designed on 2 essential axes, safety and fun, offers us to make the circuit that best suits our preferences and possibilities, without neglecting the adrenaline that involves dropping our body from the highest branches of the trees.
During our adventure in Forestal Park Bilbao we enjoyed climbing, jumping and sliding through nets, ladders, bridges and zip lines, an adventure that scares (pardon the expression) but hooks you.
Forestal Park Bilbao Schedule.
- From March 1 to October 31 Weekends and holidays from 11:00-20:00.
- From June 21st to September 11th from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 20:00.
- Option to open the facilities all year round for groups of more than 10 people (reservations required).
- The opening of the facilities is conditioned by the weather.
Thanks to the innovative “continuous life line” safety system, each tour allows the user to enjoy total interaction with the environment and the park. A method that allows us to slide down zip lines of more than 200 meters with total peace of mind.
What is a continuous life line?
This is a safety system by which the user is secured on the ground and can only leave the circuit once finished. A method that makes it practically impossible to have any accident if we comply with all the instructions given by the experts at Forestal Park.

Circuits for everyone: In the forest, camouflaged among pine trees, we can distinguish 2 different circuits, the family circuit and the sports circuit, 2 circuits, 2 degrees of difficulty. These circuits are suitable for all audiences, allowing us to enjoy the adventure without having a previous preparation, but preparation always helps. Before doing any of the 2 circuits, Forestal Park Bilbao, takes us into a small “training camp” of low altitude, simple and varied. This is where our adventure begins, where we enter the world of Forestal Park, time to take control of the instruments that will accompany us throughout the adventure (carabiners, pulleys and the continuous life line safety system).
The family circuit is designed for all ages, the only requirement: to be taller than 1.10 m (from children of 5 years old approximately). This tour consists of 4 different circuits that increase in difficulty and height as we advance. Approximate duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The sports circuit is designed for a more advanced profile, the only requirement: to be taller than 1.45m (from 11 years old onwards). Like the previous circuit, the sports circuit consists of 4 circuits in which the difficulty and height increase. It is here, where we find the highest section of Forestal Park Bilbao, 20 meters above the ground, a section that requires more skill and preparation when facing it. Approximate duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
A detail that we loved was the escape route of the high difficulty games, a way that allows us to leave the game if we find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation or impossible to face due to our capabilities or physical condition.

Location: The park is located in an environment of great natural value, in one of the most visited recreational areas of all Bizkaia, Akarlanda. In it, we find a wide variety of facilities: picnic area, barbecues, soccer fields and even a climbing wall, ideal facilities to enjoy this great open space.
How to get to Forestal Park Bilbao: The location of this adventure park is ideal when it comes to enjoying the activity and the environment, but not so good when it comes to finding public transportation to get there, so we recommend private transportation. In case of opting for public transport there are the following options:
- Erandiobusa, from Astrabudua subway stop to Motabarri Bar, to get to Forestal Park we must cross Akarlanda Park.
- Bizkaibus A3225 (Bilbao-Laukiz) Elorritxu stop. From the stop to the park we have approximately 5 minutes walking.
- Bizkaibus A2322 (Bilbao-UPV) Magdalena bidea stop, approximately 10 minutes walk.
Price: Forestal Park Bilbao’s rates are based on height, so there are rates for children (under 1.45 m tall) and adults (over 1.45 m tall).
- Children: 17€ VAT included.
- Adults: 22€ VAT included.
Special rates are available for schools, birthdays and large groups, ask for them!
Equipment: Forestal Park Bilbao has all the necessary equipment for tree climbing, all included in the price indicated above.
Attention: We did this activity in a group of 8 people. At all times we were accompanied by an expert from Forestal Park Bilbao, a help that was essential during our first steps from tree to tree. From the ground, they solved each and every one of the doubts that assailed us during the tour, an attention of 10.
