Bilbao is a small, cozy and above all very safe city, but like any city (even in your own if you stop to think) we must be more cautious in certain parts of the city, in the case of Bilbao, we mention the following:
The old part of Bilbao, not to be confused with the 7 streets of Bilbao (the old town), this area is located once past the bridge of san anton, among the streets of this area we must highlight, the street of san francisco.
The old town or 7 streets, are streets that are not frequented late at night, so we should avoid them.
Doñas Casilda Park, this is a very busy park during the day that has large areas for running and walking, as it is one of the largest parks in Bilbao, but at night this influx of people goes down, and it is not very safe to walk alone in it.
Otxarkoaga, I do not think that many tourists pass through this area, as it is located in the upper part of Bilbao and does not have many tourist attractions.
With this article we do not want to say, that bilbao is dangerous nor much less, simply, to indicate to the tourist that places are the least appropriate to visit at night, in fact, all the members of www.turismovasco.com we pass assiduously by the streets indicated, and at the moment we do not have any event to tell.
Visiting Bilbao at night, like any other city is an experience that we recommend, as the lights of the street lamps and the stars or the moon make the city is totally different from the one we see during the day, Bilbao is no less, and therefore we strongly recommend a night walk through the center of Bilbao.
