The waterfalls of La Tobería are located in the Llanada Alavesa, in the town of Andoin. About 40 kilometers from Vitoria Gasteiz. The succession of waterfalls found on the northern slope of the Sierra de Entzia, makes this place even more special if possible. The Tobería waterfalls are composed of more than 4 waterfalls that form one of the most striking chain waterfalls in Araba and Euskadi.

Route to the Tobería waterfalls.

The route to reach the waterfalls of the Tobería begins in the small town of Andoin, in Asparrena. From the right side of the square, a street that as we advance becomes a forest track that takes us to the old mill of Andoin. To less than 500 meters, we find a metallic barrier that we must pass. Remember to close it behind you. There are vertical signposts that indicate the way to follow for almost the entire route. In any case, remember that we are in front of a local path, its vertical and horizontal signaling is blue. During the tour, there is no loss, we must only follow the signs that lead us to follow the main track of the north slope to reach our destination.Remember that once we reached the vicinity of the waterfall, there is the possibility of ascending to a small viewpoint from which to appreciate a nice view of all the waterfalls (also signposted). Unfortunately, during the rainy season, the access is very slippery, so be careful. Although the beauty of the route lies (in part) in the forests that accompany us during the ascent, we must point out that the waterfalls are undoubtedly the great attraction of the route that we propose today. This series of waterfalls are formed by a limestone (tuff) that is created by the calcium carbonate contained in the groundwater that flows from the subsoil of the Sierra de Entzia. They are as beautiful as they are fragile, so let’s respect them.

The A-4116 road leads directly to the center of Andoin, to the square. On its right side, we will find an information panel. We recommend you to park next to this information panel, in battery. In case it is busy, you can park on the side of the road A-4115 (the road that starts from this point of the square). In any case, remember to respect the passage to the different houses of the town.
