Olga, a woman full of passion, makes us fall in love with her way of being, her rural house and her duck products. In the heart of the Aiako Harria Natural Park, surrounded by nature, we find the Momotegi cottage and its small duck farm. The doors of Momotegi open wide to show us how in the XXI century it is possible to live as our ancestors did, with the resources that nature offers us.

Momotegi duck products: The small duck farm is home to about 40 ducks. The breeding of ducks and geese together with the artisanal production of all these products provides high quality raw materials to famous restaurants such as Mugaritz, holder of 2 Michelin stars and one of the best restaurants in the world. Tasting of Momotegi products

During this activity, we will learn the details of goose and duck breeding while we learn about the different varieties obtained from these animals. We will have the opportunity to taste foie, duck ham and confit. The price of the visit-tasting includes a 70 gram jar of foie or 10 € discount on the purchase we make.

Momotegi cottage: This cottage offers us the opportunity to enjoy nature, forget the chaos of the big cities, return to the past and learn to live without schedules, without mobile. A rural house with a lot of charm that offers our children to be in constant contact with animals, vegetation, the river …. an environment, which unfortunately every day is less known by the new generations.

20 minutes from Donostia-San Sebastian and 15 minutes from Hendaye, this cottage allows us to enjoy the entire Basque coast without wasting time in our displacements. Remember that the rural house has a capacity of 5 people, by means of, 1 single room, 1 double room with double bed and another double room with the possibility of adding an extra bed. The Momotegi cottage is rented in its entirety, the owners, Olga and her family, live in an independent house.

History: Olga Posse started this adventure in 1985, in the same place where today she welcomes us with the same energy as the first day. Olga’s true passion is nature and therefore ducks, geese and all the animals that live in Momotegi. In order to share this small natural kingdom with anyone interested in getting to know this way of life, in 2011, she opened the Momotegi cottage. Today, both experiences are considered one of the charms of the Oarsoaldea region of Gipuzkoa.
