Part of this route is paved, making the visit more accessible. In our case, we made the whole route with a baby stroller and we must say that we completed the visit without any problem. The tour begins at the reception building, where we will be welcomed with a brief explanation of the refuge and its novelties. During the tour, the information panels will indicate the characteristics of each animal, in case of doubt, we recommend that you ask anyone in the center. The nearest transport is located in the town square of Arteaga. There we find a bus stop from where we can get to the refuge after walking about 2 km approximately. In case of arriving by private transport, you must access from the road that separates the towns of Gernika and Lekeitio.
