In fact, it is the largest beech forest in Bizkaia. A forest located on the slope of Mount Balgerri, in the Ordunte mountain range, which is reached from the neighborhood of Lanzas Agudas. A family route, which allows us to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the valley of Karrantza. We enter the forest track. After walking for 500 meters, after crossing the cattle fence, we reach the first of the crossroads that we will find during the route. From this point of the route we can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the area. We also begin to see the occasional beech tree along the road. A few meters ahead we find another detour. From here on we will find beech trees on the right and left for a good stretch. Of course, the slope on both sides is very steep. It is very small, but it has its charm. If you want to visit it, you only have to continue a few more meters along the track itself. In fact, due to the lack of parking, many people drive their vehicles along the forest track to the first sign of the Balgerri beech forest. In any case, our recommendation is to follow the road to the highest part of Lanzas Agudas and turn left to park next to the remains of a small church, between houses.
