Nowadays, the<strong> kafe Antzokia of Bilbao<\/strong> is a multipurpose place where we can enjoy the gastronomy and Basque culture and the Bilbao night. A place where you can enjoy all kinds of events with friends, are you going to miss it?   <\/p>\n<p>In this article, we are going to talk about our gastronomic experience at the Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao, specifically its weekend menu. It is an ambivalent place, since it has several uses, ranging from the restoration in the hours of lunch and dinner to concerts of all kinds of musical styles. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">Price:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">The price of the weekend menu is 17 euros, this price includes first course, second course, dessert, bread and water, crianza wine or cider. A good price if you take into account that all their dishes have good presentation, quality and taste. We must keep in mind that the average price of a weekend menu in Bilbao easily reaches the mentioned figure.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">Location:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">It is located in a central location, in the heart of Bilbao, specifically in San Vicente street number 2, next to the church of the same name. This street is easily and quickly accessible from the Abando subway stops, either by the Berastegi exit or by the circular square or Renfe. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">Our recommendation is to use public transport, the metro in this case, since the location in the capital of Bizkaia makes finding parking can be complicated.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"google-map \"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"\" height=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" marginheight=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m14!1m8!1m3!1d11621.637261785163!2d-2.927985!3d43.2638!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x0%3A0x29edec3df156f860!2sKafe+Antzokia!5e0!3m2!1ses!2ses!4v1426273491400&amp;output=embed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">Dishes:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">In the menu, we will find the names of the dishes written in Spanish and Basque, a detail that few restaurants in the Basque Country have when preparing their menus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>For the first course,<\/em><\/span> we will mention the 3 first courses that we had the opportunity to taste.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; background: white; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia','serif'; color: #333333;\">The first of them was the &#8220;Prawn salad with cherry tomatoes and Modena vinaigrette&#8221;, a fresh, healthy and light dish with which we can enjoy different textures, accompanied by a soft but intense vinaigrette.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3093\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0007-e1426273244892.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3093\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3093\" src=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0007-e1426273244892-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Prawns salad, kafe antzokia\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0007-e1426273244892-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0007-e1426273244892-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0007-e1426273244892.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3093\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prawns salad, kafe antzokia<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The next dish is &#8220;Lasa\u00f1a de boletus gratin&#8221;, a more substantial dish than the previous one but very tasty, with a creamy and fine b\u00e9chamel sauce. The boletus, were chopped in small pieces but with great flavor, all over a sauce flavored with bell pepper and tomato. <\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3094\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3094\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3094\" src=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0008-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Lasagna, kafe antzokia\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0008-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0008-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0008.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3094\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lasagna, kafe antzokia<\/p><\/div>\n<p>And finally, &#8220;zucchini stuffed with cod on squid sauce&#8221;, this dish is the one that most caught our attention, by the combination of zucchini, cod and squid sauce, because until then we had not seen them composing the same dish. Surprising combination, but very successful, great taste of cod at its exact point, neither bland nor salty. Tender zucchini and a spectacular squid sauce completed this exquisite dish.  <\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3095\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3095\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3095\" src=\"http:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0009-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Stuffed zucchini,kafe antzokia\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0009-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0009-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/turismovasco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG-20150214-WA0009.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3095\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stuffed zucchini,kafe antzokia<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>As far as the second courses are concerned<\/em>,<\/span> we will highlight two of them. The first one, the &#8220;Duck confit with red fruit sauce&#8221; was tender and juicy duck confit, the meat cooked just right, the red fruit sauce not too sweet and with a light texture, which is a great accompaniment to the meat.
