The Zarrabenta restaurant represents the traditional Basque restaurant. Simple but with high quality dishes. <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Zarrabenta restaurant is a survivor, one of the last restaurants in the Basque Country in which the essence of good food, large portions, good atmosphere and popular prices remain. We can define the restaurant Zarrabenta, as “the village restaurant of all the life”, a restaurant that lasts in the time thanks to its good work. <\/p>\n

Wooden tables and chairs, checkered tablecloths, antique furniture and walls full of memories, that is what awaits us at Zarrabenta restaurant, a restaurant with lots of charm and homey atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The ham on the sign at the entrance already warns us of what we are going to find, first class raw materials and very good hands when it comes to cooking them. The way of cooking reminded me of my mother’s (grandmother’s) way of cooking, a detail that undoubtedly contributed to make us feel at home. <\/p>\n

This restaurant located in the Biscayan town of Aulestia, is a temple of the ancient Basque cuisine, a temple of obligatory pilgrimage among the Basques, do you dare?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Popularly known as a good place to enjoy the traditional food of our land, the Zarrabenta restaurant offers its daily menu for weekdays and its menu for weekends. In most restaurants eating “a la carte” is synonymous with expensive, but in Zarrabenta restaurant the word “expensive” does not enter into their vocabulary. <\/p>\n

Quality:<\/strong> Zarrabenta’s dishes and the raw materials that compose them are of great quality, this, together with the good cooking of the house, is synonymous of sure success.<\/p>\n

Portions: <\/strong>The portions at this restaurant are like the ones amamas (grandmothers) usually serve at home. Up to the top and do not put more because it does not fit on the plate …. <\/p>\n

Price: <\/strong>A very good price considering the two previous points. The quality-price ratio of Zarrabenta restaurant is really hard to beat. The average price of this restaurant is around 30\u20ac although we ate for about 20\u20ac per diner. <\/p>\n

The option we chose was to share starters and a second course for each of us, undoubtedly the best way to taste the largest number of dishes in the restaurant.<\/p>\n

To share we chose croquettes, green peppers, asparagus and salad. As you can see we did not choose the famous ham from the Zarrabenta restaurant…. so we have one more reason to come back!!!!<\/p>\n

For the second course, the meat was predominant, the sirloin steak was a success. 100% recommended. <\/p>\n

For dessert, we didn’t choose anything, literally …. “we couldn’t eat any more”.<\/p>\n
