Pamplona city of worldwide renown thanks to its festivities (the San Fermin)<\/a> and even more renowned among people who have visited it once in their lives, Pamplona and its walls dazzles all visitors who walk through its streets, heritage of what was once the capital of the kingdom of Navarre<\/a>. Its streets and its most emblematic places, do you want to know them? <\/p>\n

Estafeta Street: <\/b>The main street of the running of the bulls of San Fermin, the most popular street of Pamplona, not only has it appeared countless times on television, newspapers, magazines and postcards but it is the memory of many tourists who visited Pamplona during the San Fermin. We could say that this street is just another street, but it is not, for the pamplonicas it is a street with a lot of tradition, although for any tourist who visits it without being in the San Fermines it may not call much attention. <\/p>\n

2.-The monument of the running of the bulls or the San Fermines: <\/b>In RONCESVALLES street we can find the mythical sculpture or monument to the running of the bulls, every tourist who passes by, puts his hand on his camera or cell phone to immortalize the moment. It is a sculpture that impresses tourists, as it faithfully reflects the spirit of the San Fermin and its runners, so if you are sightseeing in Pamplona you know! <\/p>\n

The Cathedral: <\/b>The Cathedral of Santa Maria, is one of the most important architectural sites of the city, a must for tourists. This cathedral is composed of 3 buildings all dating from the same period and the same style. <\/p>\n

4.-The Citadel: <\/b>This building of film architecture has Italian origin, as its creator was of this nationality, star-shaped is one of the most visited buildings in the city along with the cathedral. This curious building has a lot of history within its walls, as a detail to mention that one of its many uses in the past was as a prison. In its interior we can find a park, which can be visited, normally this building is used for exhibitions and cultural purposes of the people of Navarre. <\/p>\n

5.-The city hall: <\/b>The city hall is one of the most emblematic buildings of Pamplona, it is a must for every tourist. Many of the tourists who pass in front of it, relive every beginning of the San Fermines that they saw on television. The only original part of the town hall that remains is its baroque fa\u00e7ade. <\/p>\n

Hemingway: <\/b>American journalist to whom Pamplona owes its fame, we can see the monument to this great man next to the bullring of Pamplona in the street with the same name.<\/p>\n

8.-The wall: <\/b>As we indicated at the beginning, Pamplona was the capital of the kingdom of Navarre, as a legacy of this we can see today the wall that surrounds Pamplona, from it we can see many of the most beautiful green corners of the city. So remember to enjoy this walk while enjoying the architecture and nature that accompanies the wall. The now tourist wall was once the strongest defense and protection wall of the time, always parallel to the river Arga shielded a plus of protection to the wall and today a plus of beauty. <\/p>\n

The old town: <\/b>Every old town should be visited to see the origins of the city, and the old town of Pamplona could not be less, this has a curious history, before the reign of Carlos III, were in this enclave several villages, 3 to be more exact, were facing each other and had a very tough competition in all fields that life proposed to them. Carlos III promulgated the privilege of union which brought peace to these villages. <\/p>\n
