Tourism in bilbao <\/a>is increasing exponentially over the years, and with it also the transport in Bilbao. The tourism in bilbao exploits many transports that are not exclusively tourist, such as the subway, bus, tram and train. <\/p>\n

1.-Metro: <\/b>It is the most used transport in Bilbao, this is due to its comfortable and extensive schedules and its speed. It is convenient to get a ticket or pass to be able to make multiple trips, this pass is called BARIK. The metro is used to travel from the center of Bilbao to the neighborhoods a little further away or even to travel to the towns near Bilbao. Most of its route is underground, but it has sections that go on the surface. <\/p>\n

This transport is practically new with all that this entails (spacious stations, with good access and clean).<\/p>\n

2.-Bus: <\/b>Depending on the area and the routes, there are several types of public buses: Bilbobus and Bizkaibus.<\/p>\n

The difference between the two is that one connects neighborhoods and the other connects towns or municipalities (intercity), the bus used in the city to go from one area to another are the bilbobus while to go from one municipality to another are the bizkaibus, both have completely different routes and schedules. They can be differentiated by their colors, Bilbabus uses red buses while bizkaibus uses green buses.<\/p>\n

3.-Tranvia: <\/strong>This transport is new, it joins very few points of Bilbao, but many people use it. The ticket must be cancelled at the tram stops, since there are no machines inside the trams for this purpose. This transport has a guide to know the city without leaving the tram seat. <\/p>\n

4.-Train: <\/strong>There are several types of trains, as well as buses, which differ in their routes. The types of trains in Vizcaya are the following: Renfe and Euskotren. <\/p>\n

Renfe are the long-distance trains and Euskotren, which operates within the Basque Country.<\/p>\n

Feve exists, although it is limited to very few areas.<\/p>\n

The exclusive tourist transports are Bilbaoboat (the boats that run along the river), a good option for touring the river in a short time, and the tourist buses.<\/p>\n
