I don’t think we can say that we have just been on vacation in Alava <\/a>without visiting one of the many wineries in the Rioja Alava. It is an opportunity to visit, see and learn about the elaboration of the wines of this region. Normally they always accompany the visit with a tasting of the wines produced in the same winery, which makes the visit more complete and attractive. There are many that are offered in services such as groupon or similar sites for really good prices. <\/p>\n

1.-Tradition: <\/b>In this region there are wineries with a long tradition, such as the Eguren Ugarte winery. A classic in this wine world. But do not hesitate to visit any that catches your attention as they are all very curious and all have a lot of history behind them. <\/p>\n

2.-To see the elaboration: <\/b>To see, to know and to learn the elaboration of the art is a privilege, it is an art. It does not cost us anything to go to a winery on our way through the Rioja Alavesa. <\/p>\n

Tasting: <\/b>As we have already mentioned, the visits are usually accompanied by a small wine tasting, it is very important to make sure beforehand of all the services and products that are included in the visit, some wineries give away 2 of their bottles for the visit, although the total price of the visit is increased.<\/p>\n

4.-Food: <\/b>Some wineries include it in their visits, others let you eat in their rooms the food that you prepare and others do not have any of these services. What we recommend is that you enjoy the gastronomy of the area, whether you eat in the winery itself or in a restaurant, the food should be from the area. I would not fail to eat some good lamb chops and potatoes Rioja style, always accompanied by a good wine from the area! <\/p>\n
