Gehry was in charge of two major works in the Basque Country, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Marques de Riscal Hotel in Alava. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Guggenheim Museum:<\/strong> It opened its doors in 1997 and has become one of the most important symbols for the city of Bilbao, as well as for the Basque Country in general. It has a very modern structure endowed with curvilinear forms that rises on the shore of the Bilbao Estuary. This structure is mainly made of zinc and titanium on the exterior as well as limestone cladding on the murals. The museum exhibits numerous works of contemporary art by Spanish artists and artists from all over Europe, from classical, modern and abstract paintings to sculptures of all kinds can be seen in this place. It is a work worthy of <b>Frank Gehry<\/b>, considered one of the best of his career. Today the museum represents a great part of the Basque culture as well as a singular attraction for tourists visiting the region, in fact, it is the place that is most often visited by foreigners when approaching the city of Bilbao. These wineries are the work of <b>Frank Gehry<\/b>, as is the hotel. Together, they form an innovative, modern structure, although similar to the Guggenheim, quite original in terms of the rest of the structures present in the region, in fact, these buildings are located in such a way that their view over the municipality is imposing. In the cellars, the best wines harvested in the vineyards are exhibited, as well as their variations, while the hotel is a must-see attraction for tourists visiting the region.
